Our dedicated volunteers have made a difference every day for the past 20 years tending to our residents, families and our home. The following is just a small sample of the tasks our volunteers take on every day.
Clerical/Office: preparing mailings and general office support to our Executive Director
Event Planning/Staffing: volunteers are always needed to coordinate and staff our annual fundraisers. Our annual event schedule is as follows: May-Auction; June-Garage Sale; August-Golf Tournament; year long-Craft Shows various locations
Caregivers: volunteers are needed to assist our nurses and aides. We welcome those with professional training in health care, but it is not a requirement to be a volunteer care giver.
Companions: volunteer opportunities exist to offer companionship to those residents that may not otherwise have family or friends in the area. All volunteers are provided with appropriate training.
Meal Preparation: volunteers may be asked to prepare meals for the resident and/or their family during their stay. Meals can be prepared at Pines of Peace or in the volunteer's home and brought to Pines of Peace.
Household/Yard Care and Maintenance: our home is lovingly maintained and cared for by our volunteers. As with any home, there is always something that can be updated, painted or fixed.
We welcome service groups such as the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4H or other adult service organizations who wish to complete a service project, as well as students who are looking to satisfy community service hours. Proposals can be e-mailed to the Executive Director for consideration.
